Leading Online Poker Site Signs Mega-deal with Microgaming Quickfire
Microgaming are, for most experienced online casino gamers, the undisputed kings of virtual casino gaming. The brand have the enviable reputation of being the name that started it all, way back when the internet itself was still in its infancy. Microgaming have come a long way since their first foray into online casino gaming in 1994.
The brand have also been at the forefront of many of the industry’s key developments including the launch of industry-respected watchdog, eCOGRA among many others. Dozens of the industry’s top online casino operators have also signed with the brand over the past two decades and many seasoned online casino campaigners simply will not sign up with an online casino that doesn’t sport the Microgaming logo.
In early February of this year Microgaming announced its very first signing of the year with a top tier brand. Microgaming has agreed to be the primary software brand powering top online poker site, Poker Stars. What’s more is that Microgaming also announced that they will be using their cutting edge Quickfire platform to provide unparalleled gaming content to Poker Stars players online.
While most online casino gamers know the Poker Stars brand for their excellent online poker platform, online casino fans will now also be able to enjoy premium Microgaming online casino content. According to insiders, the deal struck between Microgaming and Poker Stars will see the poker brand expand its offering to include a range of cutting edge virtual casino gaming. The new content will be available from the middle of 2017 and will be instantly available across all platforms including desktop and mobile devices.
However, the actual Poker Stars casino website is nothing new. The extension to its world class poker platform was originally launched in 2014 and features a wide range of interesting gaming content from a number of top software brands. Currently, Poker Stars poker and online casino content is available to a number of different global territories and jurisdictions including large parts of Asia, Africa and Europe.
Poker Stars is owned and operated by Rational Group, based in the Isle of Man which is also a subsidiary of virtual gaming giant, Amaya. Poker Stars now also offers online sports betting as of fairly recently and it seems that, with this latest Quickfire acquisition, the brand is set to be a serious contender in the industry.
In related news, it was announced at the end of January this year that Poker Stars has achieved a first. The brand is said to be the very first online gaming operator to be granted a license to operate in the Czech Republic. The newly regulated country has become the latest market in the ever expanding iGaming industry, still one of the fastest growing industries on the web today. This means that, for the first time, local Czech players can now enjoy top tier quality online casino gaming. This includes access to massive and very lucrative online casino tournaments and a range of real money casino games.
